GRANADA —> SEVILLA —> CÓRDOBA (Provinces within Andalusia which I visited)
So, this weekend was all about the infamous, highly-talked about, Southern region of Spain (Andalusia). Due to the organisation I work for, I had the opportunity to spend the weekend exploring Andalusia. I’ve heard lots about this region, only positive raves about its beauty and visible religious influences (the South of Spain was once under Islamic rule, hence there is alot of Islamic and Arabic influences in the architecture). It was absolutely stunning. Although, as we all know, I’m a thinker. So, with Spain’s history in mind and life in general, I began to think about how much more history, pain, struggle and joy lies behind the beautiful architecture. For me, it made me reflect on the idea that there is always more than meets the eye – MORE sides to the story, MORE opportunities to be seized, MORE to expect from yourself/others and MORE life to be lived.
With this being said, I’m about to book a one way ticket to Quito, Ecuador (so so excited!). It’s likely that I’ll be spending the first 9 months of 2018 in South America (hopefully Central and North America too). It’s such a great feeling to know that I have the opportunity to go all the way to South America and travel whilst I am there. So grateful!
To be updated very soon!
