1. Why modelling? Were you scouted? Did you actively pursue a job in the industry?
I was scouted whilst working at Pure Gym in London after being approached by a regular customer (I had been DM’ed a few times on Instagram but I didn’t take it seriously as I assumed it was a scam) who handed me his card and took my number. I was called in a couple days after and we had a little chat over some coffee and the agency offered me a contract, I was around 16/17 years old at the time. I thought it would be a great opportunity because it’s not something you get approached for everyday. Making it big where I come from is either through rapping or playing football; football was one of my childhood dreams like every other boy growing up in my estate but unfortunately I had inherited Osgood-Schlatter disease which deterred me from pursuing this dream, leaving me devastated and scared as I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I was also encouraged to pursue modelling by a very close person to me at the time and friends such as Ama Jones and Alexis Mccleave who were already in the industry, not too long after this I was approached.
2. I can imagine, there are probably times when it gets tough juggling your studies and also the demands of the modelling industry – going to castings etc? How do you deal with everything?
3. What tips would you give to anyone interested in stepping into the Fashion industry, as a model?
4. What’s next for you?
As I’m known in London I want to be known around the world.
5. What has been your favourite moment?
