My heart is so full.
I arrived back in London almost three weeks ago – Christmas and New Years’ Day went by super quickly, is it just me or does it go by quicker each year? Nonetheless, Valencia was amazing, London has been great and Ecuador (in 5 days lol) is going to be so so good! Being back in London, eating, drinking and relaxing with my family has been amazing. There is something about being back at home that reignites me and brings to the surface a renewed desire to go after what I want. I’m so ready to fully pursue all that I want in 2018 and I know I’m going to get every. single. thing. I can’t wait!
Being back in London, enjoying Christmas with my family, laughing, eating, drinking etc has been amazing – honestly, it feels like each time is better than the last! Having said that, at the same time, I’m so ready to explore and have totally new experiences. But, I’m also learning to balance the idea of continuously looking forward to my next step whilst fully enjoying my current stage – truly living in the moment. One thing I have learnt recently, that has resonated so deeply within me, is the idea that successful people (people who are objectively ‘successful’ and feel successful within themselves) are people who have taken many risks and conducted many experiments in life. Essentially, life is about continuously trying new things, making decisions to go into the unknown because the more things we do, the more our minds expand to the possibility that anything truly is possible. For me, a huge realisation of 2017 was that everything BEGINS and ENDS with the mind, which is why meditation is so important because once we are aware of the power of the mind we are able to realise that there really are no limits. 2017 was definitely a beautiful year, there was so much growth, learning and understanding.
7 days into 2018 and I’m so grateful, excited, expectant for what’s ahead. The travels, new environments, adventures, people, food (mmm). Yep, it’s going to be good! I love the saying, the BEST IS YET TO COME! But, what I love even more is that the BEST GIFT IS NOW!
2017 really was good to me and I know 2018 is going to be stunning.
Until next time, when I’ll be writing from Ecuador (eeee!),
